Is the Activate Engagement Insights Dashboard included with my Activate product?

Yes. All you need to do is tell your Jornaya CSM you want to access then provide engagement data that matches our specification to take advantage of these additional insights, at no additional cost.

How does Jornaya use the engagement data I provide?

We will use this data to power your insights dashboard. Your insights dashboard and raw data will not be shared with any other customer. Your Jornaya account team will use this data to better understand how Activate is impacting your marketing, so we can provide any guidance on how to best interpret and act on your insights.

Per our terms of use, we also may utilize this contributed data to corroborate Jornaya data to help enhance our products.

How often does the dashboard update/refresh?

The dashboard will be updated each time you send new engagement data. The dashboard will only include data for the most recent engagement data file.

New engagement files completely replace a previous dataset being used by the dashboard.

How does the dashboard work based on the initial outreach date?

  • No filters: the aggregate data will be based on the initial outreach date per consumer.

  • Compiled: it will look at all of the datestamps associated with each record ID in the file you’ve provided. Then the data associated with the earliest datestamp per consumer will be what is aggregated and surfaced in the dashboard without any filters applied.

  • Filter for a Specific Campaign: the logic updates and the data will be based on the initial (earliest) outreach datestamp per recordid for that specific campaign. This ensures that you’re able to see insights for consumers that are included in iterative campaigns.

Will this be a part of myJornaya?

Not immediately, but we will be moving this into myJornaya in the future - no set timeline yet planned for this.

Can I send additional data along with the Engagement data file?

Yes, you can send additional fields with your engagement data so long as the required data and format are included. The dashboard will not leverage the additional data at this time.

What is the difference between the default rate and the pull-through rate?

Default engagement rate is the number of consumers who engaged divided by all consumers with an outreach (i.e. Consumers who opened & clicked an email / All consumers that were sent the email).

The pull-through rate is the number of consumers that were contacted and engaged divided by the number of consumers who were contacted (i.e. Consumers who opened & clicked an email / Consumers who opened the email). Typically, we see consumers with shopping activity move to the next step of a shopping funnel more so than consumers without activity and the pull-through rate metric highlights this type of engagement.

For example:

  • 50 emails sent
  • 20 users opened the email
  • 10 users clicked through the email
  • Default rate: 20% (10/50)
  • Pull-through rate: 50% (10/20)

How do customers use these insights?

The executive summary view is used to understand how impactful the Jornaya data is on engagement by comparing consumers with activity against consumers without activity.

The actionable insights tab surfaces the performance of different consumer segments, which customers use to design targeted campaigns to increase performance on segments that aren’t engaging as much as higher performing segments.

The segment data (journeys & # of shopping events) are passed back daily to customers that have opted-in to using our new Activate behavioral data file. If you aren’t already getting this data, please reach out to your CSM.
