CONSHOHOCKEN, PA September 7, 2021 – Contact State, the lead generation certification technology platform, has been acquired by Verisk (Nasdaq:VRSK), a leading global data analytics provider. As a result of the acquisition, Contact State will combine with Verisk’s Jornaya, a leader in consumer compliance, behavioral data, and marketing intelligence, to offer customers expanded insights into buyer journeys across in the UK and EU.
Contact State pioneered and introduced data lead certification in the UK and works with a number of prominent financial services brands, product providers and advertising businesses. This acquisition represents a natural evolution of the Jornaya business, and will help make the marketing ecosystem increasingly transparent and efficient for consumers and customers. Jornaya clients will also have access to the UK marketplace to explore or expand overseas investment and market development opportunities.
“For years, the lead generation industry has been attempting to improve transparency of consumer consent and compliant media using independent technology and data,” said Rob Rokoff, Senior Vice President, Corporate Development of Jornaya. “Contact State’s innovative platform restores confidence, clarity, and trust in the UK lead generation ecosystem. By joining forces, we can offer our consumer consent marketing solutions overseas, add another dimension to our data certification offerings and we can accelerate trust, transparency, and performance in the ecosystem.”
Contact State was founded on the principle that online consumer data is sensitive, personal and should be protected at all times. Its technology creates independent certificates that record and secure consumer consent, the customer journey as well data integrity.
“Jornaya has shown a strong commitment to meeting the rapidly changing needs of leading marketers in the U.S. with data-driven solutions, highly experienced teams, and a significant innovation pipeline," said Alain Desmier, Co-founder of Contact State. "As part of Jornaya and the Verisk family, we'll be able to increase our reach, improve our solutions, and help our clients grow with greater speed and efficiency, furthering the trust between buyers and sellers with a compliant consent-first data set."
